Members of the College of Exploration have designed, created and facilitated online events since the late 1990's. Examples include Knowledge Ecology Fair, Collaborate 98, IBM Blue, and many others. The first
online workshop was on El Nino in 1998. for all these we used Caucus software. We were early users of recorded and live video streaming using flash and real networks, both no longer supported. In the past 10 years we have used live platforms from YouTube, Vimeo, Akamai, Bluejeans, Zoom, MS Teams, and others to create live webcasts and meetings from around the world, for example Fiji, Chile, Australia, England, USA, Japan.
